$255Teen Acting Intensive (Meisner)
Meisner Acting Intensive I is a focused introduction to the foundational work of the Meisner Technique, built for actors who want to get out of their heads, respond truthfully, and develop greater freedom and spontaneity in their work. This is the first session of Meisner work. While returning students may recognize individual exercises or concepts from previous classes, this intensive approaches the technique sequentially from the beginning. Rather than pulling exercises from different stages of the work, we’ll build the foundation in order, allowing each skill to grow out of the one before it.We’ll begin with the fundamentals of “truthful listening and responding” before moving into early Meisner scene work, including “coming to the door”, “independent activity”, “emotional preparation”, “circumstances”, and “working moment-to-moment with a partner.” The emphasis throughout the intensive is on replacing predetermined choices with genuine behavior: listening instead of waiting for a cue, responding instead of performing a response, and allowing the circumstances to actually affect you.As the session progresses, actors will begin applying these principles to text. Because Meisner work depends heavily on trust, partnership, repetition, and continuity, enrollment is capped at 10 actors to create a small, committed ensemble and allow for individualized coaching.

$155Adult Acting Intensive (Meisner)
Designed for young adults, working professionals, returning performers, and anyone looking for serious acting training outside of a traditional conservatory setting, this 10 week intensive offers a focused introduction to the foundational work of the Meisner Technique.
Whether you’re a recent graduate looking to continue your training, an actor balancing your craft with a full time career, returning to performance after time away, or stepping into formal acting training for the first time, this class is built to meet you where you are and challenge you from there.
Actors will work through foundational Meisner exercises in sequence, exploring truthful listening, repetition, independent activity, coming to the door, emotional preparation, circumstances, and moment to moment response. As the work develops, we’ll begin applying those principles to monologues and scene work, bridging the gap between acting exercises and actual text. The goal is to loosen the grip of overthinking and predetermined choices and develop an actor who can listen deeply, respond instinctively, take emotional risks, and remain genuinely affected by their scene partner and circumstances.
No previous Meisner experience is required. Actors with previous training are equally welcome to return to the fundamentals and experience the progression of the work from the ground up. With enrollment limited to 10 actors, the intensive is intentionally small, allowing for substantial individual attention, partner work, and a supportive ensemble environment.
